In 2007 11 companies set up the ESTIA Business Foundation, the first foundation of this type in SW France. Today there are 16 companies who take part financially and provide support over a period of several years to orient, to develop and assess ESTIA’s activities. This cooperation represents a powerful lever for the internationalisation of the ESTIA campus and for the excellence of its research activities. It also provides an income of 340 000 euros on average per year over 5 years.
ESTIA is very grateful to: Alios, Groupe Artzainak, BSE, Groupe Cancé, Crédit Agricole Pyrénées Gascogne, Dassault Aviation, INEO Aquitaine, ETPM, Sobala - Maison Thieullent (Europcar), Groupe Lauak, Maxsea, Sig-Image, Sokoa, Somocap, Technoflex and Turbomeca (Groupe Safran) for their constant support.
"To make our economy competitive and dynamic, to give our businesses the leading edge, training our engineers is a key condition. Mobilising economic players for training and research is an obligation. Our foundation’s activity isn’t a question of "comfort" or "kindness", it’s a question of survival. I invite all responsible companies in our territory to join and become part of our foundation."
Emeric d'Arcimoles, Chairman of the ESTIA Business Foundation, Advisor to the CEO of Safran, Secretary General of Le Bourget, Representative of the Safran group in SW France
