ESTIA is a motor of development for the Izarbel Science Park, which provides hosting services to technological companies, such as the Pavillon d’Izarbel, business centres, head offices, restaurant, nursery, etc.
Today the Izarbel Science Park has over 90 businesses, 1 000 high added value tertiary jobs and around 600 student engineers at ESTIA trained in product design, mechatronics, industrial organisation, etc.
The incubator and nursery have played their role to the full since amongst the businesses present, over half were set up at Izarbel and developed there.
Tomorrow the science park will attract new players with a high added value. To achieve this aim, the district authorities, which have directly managed the science park since January 2011, have launched a vast development project. With a view to its future extension, it brings together businesses and economic players with an ambitious project. Tomorrow it will also be managed by a technopolitan board consisting of representatives from local municipalities.
NB. Since January 2011 the science park has also been served by the CHRONOPLUS bus service, highly appreciated by science park users.
