ESTIA engineers are generalist engineers, prepared for all industrial activities. Their approach and abilities enable them to work as part of project teams both in large companies and SME’s.
They contribute to competitive development in an environment and e-business based economy. In this context, they have a good command of all the elements required to develop products through their lifecycle, from expressing needs to operating and implementation. They acquire multi-technological skills in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and IT.
The three options available to students enable them to position themselves more precisely in the company’s system either as managers or operators.
Digital design & innovation
Development in mechanics, electronics, IT
Positioned upstream and dealing more particularly with product development and industrialisation aspects.
Mechatronics & embedded systems
Image processing, mobile robots, renewable energies
Corresponds to the design and implementation of embedded systems and production systems as well as their maintenance: mechatronics, automation, industrial IT, reliability
Industrial management & organisation
Industrialisation, global logistics, performance management
Mostly concerns the company system’s strategy and organisation, industrial system engineering science and methods, global logistics, safety and quality. This option is subject to apprenticeship
ESTIA engineers are project managers in all fields of activity, create activities and sometimes even set up their own companies. They are prepared to pilot innovative projects, and are able to appreciate the stakes and risks, motivate teams and sponsors, financing clients and suppliers.
Initially, the young graduate’s operational skills will of course be determined by the option chosen: either product and method oriented, or equipment and infrastructure oriented, or organisation and management oriented. However, all students acquire the following skills :
