The aim is for all ESTIA graduate engineers to be able to work and develop professionally in at least 3 languages: French, English and Spanish.
To achieve this objective, teaching at ESTIA is trilingual. Classes and lectures are given in French, as well as English with lecturers from the universities of Cranfield, Salford-Manchester, Wolverhampton, and in Spanish by lecturers from Bilbao Engineering School.
Students also have to present work and reports in both English and Spanish.
Immersion courses and lessons take place in Bilbao (first year) and Cranfield, Salford-Manchester, Wolverhampton (1 semester of teaching in the 3rd year and one internship abroad).
Estia’s Language Resource Centre organises lessons and activities to learn and maintain your level in other languages (optional).
For those with no previous knowledge of Spanish, lessons are organised so as to enable you to acquire the basics and progress quickly. Spanish classes will enable you to achieve a sound level.
Students’ English level is assessed by a TOEIC score, an international test recognised by businesses.
Students are also encouraged to take the DELE certificate in Spanish.
