Biographie

Dr Guillaume Rivière, Ph.D, is an Assistant Professor at Estia Institute of Technology. He holds a Master of Research and a Doctorate in Computer Science, with specialization in Algorithms and Graph Theory (University of Bordeaux, 2005) and in Human–Computer Interaction (University of Bordeaux, 2009), respectively. He teaches computer programming and information technology to bachelor and engineering students at ESTIA Engineering School. Since 2005, he applied his research to the field of tangible user interfaces and the study of tangible interaction. Especially, he contributed to revealing the properties of tangible user interfaces and to better understanding and classifying the variety of specimens produced in the field. He grounded his research by use cases in geophysics, archaeology, and the integration of renewable energies. Finally, his research contributes to provide methods that unveil user interaction. Furthermore, he is a member of the Computer Science Society of France (SIF), the French-speaking Association for Human–Computer Interaction (AFIHM), and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).

Guillaume Rivière est Professeur Assistant à l’École Supérieure des Technologies Industrielles Avancées (ESTIA). Il est diplômé d'un master recherche et d'un doctorat en Informatique, spécialisés en Algorithmique et théorie des graphes  (Université de Bordeaux, 2005) et en Interaction humain-machine (Université de Bordeaux, 2009). Il enseigne la programmation informatique et les technologies de l'information aux élèves en ingénierie de l'ESTIA. Depuis 2005, il applique ses recherches au domaine des interfaces utilisateurs tangibles et à l'étude de l'interaction tangibles. En particulier, il a contribué à révéler les propriétés des interfaces utilisateur tangibles et à la classification des nombreux spécimens engendré par ce domaine de recherche. Il a ancré ses recherches dans des domaines tels la géophysique, l’archéologie et l'intégration des énergies renouvelables. Finalement, ses recherches proposent des méthodes de révélation de l'interaction. En outre, il est membre de la Société informatique de France (SIF), de l’Association francophone d'interaction humain-machine (AFIHM) et de l'Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
