A doctorate at ESTIA: training for excellence

The three years spent at ESTIA-Research, often in close collaboration with industry, are a real professional experience for doctoral students. This training through research is marked by a strong engineering culture, and combines scientific and technological research. ESTIA-Recherche is ESTIA's only research unit and is registered in the national directory of research structures under no. RNSR 20142 0655V by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.
ESTIA-Research is associated with three doctoral schools at the University of Bordeaux:
- ED SPI n°209 - Physical and Engineering Sciences,
- ED MI n°39 - Mathematics and Computer Science,
- ED EES n°42 - Enterprise, Economy, Society.
At Estia-Recherche, young researchers are working on new technological subjects in disciplines as diverse asIT,electronics, electrical engineering, mechanics, industrial engineering and management.

- a thesis in partnership with the socio-economic world,
- secure funding.
The Alumni-Doctor network
The network was launched on 13 November 2023 to mark 25 years of research at ESTIA.
Its ambassador is Dr Fred Arnoux.
