On Wednesday 9 July 2025, Alexandre Disdier successfully defended his thesis entitled "Contribution à l'intégration d'informations contextuelles dans les modèles de conception de systèmes sociotechniques complexes":
"Contribution à l'intégration d'informations contextuelles dans les modèles de conception de systèmes sociotechniques complexes" (Contribution to the integration of contextual information in the design models of complex socio-technical systems), and obtained the degree of Doctor from the Université Paris-Saclay, specialising in Complex Systems Engineering.
His research, conducted within the FlexTech Chair, ESTIA-Recherche and the Industrial Engineering Laboratory (LGI) under the co-direction of Marija Jankovic (CentraleSupélec) and Guy André Boy (ESTIA), focuses on the ontological and methodological formalisation of the notion of context in design engineering. Using air traffic control as a case study, it proposes a new framework for anticipating and modelling the emerging properties of socio-technical systems, thereby facilitating the adaptation of complex architectures and opening up prospects for the virtualisation of control centres.

Congratulations to Dr DISDIER!
