The event brought together 53 participants, accompanied throughout the challenge by ESTIA alumni who came to coach them. The diversity of their backgrounds was a real asset: Steren Parra from the space sector, Romaric Alleaume from the naval sector, and Anthony Mazmanian from the AI field, brought complementary and concrete perspectives to the projects developed.
At the end of the final presentations, the jury rewarded three teams for the quality and relevance of their solutions.
🥇 1ʳᵉ place - Sarikide: an innovative project exploiting Earth observation data and artificial intelligence to detect and track invasive species. Sarikide offers a dynamic monitoring platform enabling early detection, monitoring over time and decision support for local authorities and stakeholders, thereby helping to preserve ecosystems.
🥈 2ᵉ place - Fielda: a solution geared towards optimising the analysis of field data using digital and spatial technologies, at the service of local players.
🥉 3ᵉ place - Clean the Cosmos: a project aimed at raising awareness and proposing solutions for the reduction of space debris, in order to sustainably preserve the orbital environment.
This event was made possible thanks to the support of a number of partners and sponsors: CNES, the European Space Agency (ESA), the SAFE cluster, Telecom Valley, ESTIA Entreprendre, COMETES, Satlantis, Mutuelle Prévifrance, NASC, the Technopole Pays Basque, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and the Pays Basque Conurbation Community.
Act In Space is fully in line with ESTIA's approach to developing space activities, strengthening the links between training, innovation, the industrial ecosystem and societal issues, while offering students a hands-on immersion in the world of space.
