Developing Talent and Bringing a High-Level Academic Programme to Corsica: The Master of Science BIHAR
ESTIA plays a key role in developing AI-related skills through the deployment of the Master of Science BIHAR, accredited by the Conférence des Grandes Écoles. With ESTIA’s support, Aflokkat launched the first edition of the MSc BIHAR in Ajaccio, giving Corsican students and professionals access to a high-level programme in Big Data, AI, and intelligent systems directly on the island. This initiative is one of the cornerstones of the Corsica.ai project, as it strengthens the long-term availability of advanced digital skills in Corsica.
- First cohort (launched in October 2023): 5 enrolled students
- Second cohort (launched in October 2024): 10 enrolled students
- Third cohort (launched in October 2025): 9 enrolled students
Boosting Creativity and Innovation: The 24h of Innovation in Ajaccio
Since 2023, ESTIA has supported Aflokkat in organizing the 24h of Innovation in Corsica, an annual event that brings together students, companies, and economic stakeholders around real technological challenges.
Three successful editions have been held:
- 2023: 130 participants, 13 partner companies
- 2024: 180 participants, 18 companies
- 2025: Aflokkat increasingly autonomous in co‑organizing the event
These challenges enable young Corsican talents to experiment with collaborative innovation, prototype rapid solutions, and strengthen their employability.
Supporting Corsican Companies in Their Digital Transformation
ESTIA has deployed in Corsica its expertise in industrial diagnostics applied to digital technologies and artificial intelligence.
As part of Work Package 3, the school has:
- trained Aflokkat in advanced methods for assessing digital maturity,
- conducted several in‑depth on-site diagnostics within companies,
- contributed to scoping activities, data analysis, and the development of initial AI prototypes for local organizations.
These actions help Corsican SMEs evaluate their level of digitalization, identify their needs, and consider AI projects tailored to their economic reality.
