On Thursday 12 June, our 2nd year PhD students took up the challenge of presenting the progress of their thesis work at the traditional PhD Day organised at ESTIA. It was a demanding 20-minute presentation, followed by lively discussions with the audience.

On the programme this year:

🔹 Saioa Gartzia Agirre - PhD student on a CIFRE thesis with the COL
"Multi-criteria decision-support modelling for the integration of energy systems in the design and renovation of low-income housing schemes."

🔹 Rémi Duhamel
"Facilitating responsible innovation: developing new user-centred methods to encourage the low-tech approach."

🔹 Naoures Jlassi
"Designing turbomachinery shafts with controlled damping."

Well done to them for the clarity, rigour and passion with which they shared their research!

Through this event, ESTIA is reaffirming its commitment to applied, interdisciplinary research rooted in the major issues of our time.
