On Thursday 26 June 2025, Amanda Bernar successfully defended her doctoral thesis, obtaining the degree of Doctor of the University of Bordeaux specialising in Automation, Productics, Signal and Image, Cognitive Engineering.
Her research focused on the development of a decision-support tool to assist in the design and management of 4.0-type automated textile factories.
This is a promising contribution to speeding up the modernisation and competitive relocation of the textile industry, with the prospect of applications being extended to other industrial sectors.
