Sports shoes, rackets, bicycles, racing boats... In sport, every detail counts. And behind the performance, there are often engineers.

Engineers who design lighter, stronger, higher-performance equipment, but also engineers who use their skills directly in the field.

In this episode, we find out how engineering supports sportspeople, from consumer products to single-handed ocean racing.

To talk about this, we welcome Mika Salmon Legagneur, an ESTIA alumnus and product engineer at Decathlon, and Jean-Baptiste Daramy, a composite materials engineer at ESTIA, but also a top-level skipper, involved in an ocean racing project with his sights set on the Vendée Globe 2028, where he puts his engineering skills to work on his boat.
