Biographie

Assistant Professor (Enseignant-Chercheur)

Since October 2019, I joined ESTIA, in Bidart, France (where is Bidart?). I joined the institute to teach computer science classes and continue my research regarding novel interaction techniques. I am currently focusing on gesture and gaze interaction in smart environments.

Postdoc

From October 2017 to September 2019, I was a postdoc fellow in the Center for Uman-Engaged Computing in Kochi University of Technology (where is Kochi?), in Japan. I was able to join prof. Ren's team thanks to a postdoc scholarship from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.

Before that, between January 2016 and October 2017, I was a postdoc fellow in the HCI Lab of the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada (Where is Winnipeg?) under the supervision of Pr. Pourang Irani. This postdoc position gave me the opportunity to work with new collaborators and to supervise students. I had the opportunity to work on various topics such as touch selection techniques on new input devices and gaze interaction. Some projects are still running.

PhD thesis

Between 2011 and 2015, I was a PhD student in the Engineering Human-Computer Interaction team (EHCI), from the Grenoble Informatics Laboratory (LIG). My thesis was supervised by Céline Coutrix and Laurence Nigay. My thesis concerned the interaction at a distance with augmented physical objects in smart environments. This thesis was part of the Delight project, involving a dozen of industrial and academic collaborators lead by Schneider Electric.

Before

Before being part of the HCI research community, I graduated from the computer science engineering school ENSIMAG, Grenoble, France. I then worked for the Xerox Research Center Europe (XRCE) showroom team in order to develop multitouch applications that use technologies from the XRCE.
