From 18 to 22 May 2026, ESTIA will host the BIP Sustainable Engineering Spring School, an international educational event focusing on the challenges of sustainable engineering.

This week will bring together 20 international students, including four from ESTIA, as well as lecturers from the partner universities Portalegre, DHBW and Mondragon.
On the agenda: a week of exchanges, collaborative work and educational input on key themes such as eco-design, the circular economy, user experience, Human-Life Centred Design, the energy transition and international collaborative projects. Students will also have the opportunity to present their work at the end of the week.

In addition to the academic programme, several group activities will allow participants to explore the region and strengthen team dynamics: beach volleyball, an introduction to Basque pelota with Ona Pilota and a tour of Bayonne.

Through this Spring School, ESTIA reaffirms its commitment to training engineers with an international outlook, capable of designing innovative, responsible solutions tailored to today’s major environmental challenges.
