Motorcycles, aeroplanes, industrial machinery… anything that moves, rotates, accelerates or takes off relies on one thing: mechanics. Behind these everyday objects and cutting-edge technologies are engineers capable of designing, testing, improving and transforming an idea into a prototype, and then into a real product.

To discuss this, we welcome Simon Dabadie, an ESTIA graduate from 2015, a designer and mechanical engineer, and founder of DAB Motors, a manufacturer of electric motorbikes, as well as Maxime Tolu, a mechanical engineer and head of Turbolab, ESTIA’s innovative aeronautical propulsion platform.

Through their stories, discover:

  • what mechanical engineering actually involves;
  • the balance between design, technology, production and innovation;
  • the major developments on the horizon in response to environmental and energy challenges;
  • the qualities needed to work in this field.

A fascinating episode that shows that behind every machine lies an idea, expertise, a great deal of testing… and often a genuine passion.

A must-listen for anyone who loves understanding how things work and is already imagining the technologies of tomorrow!
