From 13 to 15 October 2026, ESTIA took part in Erasmus Days, a European event that celebrates international mobility, intercultural exchange and the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programmes. Over the course of three days, students and staff came together for discussions, personal accounts and meetings with students currently studying abroad.

Discover mobility opportunities and share experiences

Erasmus Days kicked off on Tuesday 13 October with a warm welcome over hot chocolate in the ESTIA lobby. A photographic exhibition dedicated to mobility programmes in Europe gave students the chance to discover different international experiences and draw inspiration from their peers’ journeys.

At lunchtime, a presentation for staff explored professional mobility opportunities under Erasmus+, particularly through Staff Week, as well as Erasmus+ funding schemes and grants. A quiz on the EU4DUAL European alliance also helped to highlight the possibilities offered by international cooperation.

Supporting students with their mobility projects

On Wednesday 14 October, a coffee morning was organised to hear feedback from students who had taken part in non-degree academic mobility schemes or in Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs).

These discussions provided an opportunity to share practical experiences and offer insights to students who are themselves considering an international mobility placement.

A presentation specifically for CPII and CI2A students due to embark on non-degree academic mobility programmes was also organised to help them prepare for their experience abroad.

Remote meetings with dual-degree students

The Erasmus Days also provided an opportunity to maintain contact with ESTIA students pursuing an international dual degree.

Two remote discussion sessions were organised during the lunch break. On Wednesday 14 October, students were able to chat with their peers in Wolverhampton, Cranfield and Salford, in the UK. On Thursday 15 October, the discussions continued with dual-degree students in Mondragon, Bilbao and San Sebastián, in Spain.

These meetings provided an opportunity to catch up with the exchange students, find out about their daily lives and share their experiences at their host institutions.

A collective focus on international engagement

This year’s Erasmus Days at ESTIA brought together around fifty students in the school hall, around thirty students during the video links with dual-degree students, and a dozen staff members for the Erasmus+ Staff session.

These three days illustrate the importance of international mobility in students’ academic journeys and in the development of intercultural skills. They also demonstrate ESTIA’s commitment to international openness, the sharing of experiences and European cooperation, particularly through its involvement in the EU4DUAL alliance.

Thank you to all the students and staff who took part for their contribution to these three days, which were all about exchange and openness to the world!
