In its September 2026 issue, Studyrama Grandes Écoles magazine features a special report on ESTIA, its multidisciplinary teaching approach and its courses geared towards the industrial challenges of the future.

Entitled ‘ESTIA: a multidisciplinary, international engineering school focused on the industry of tomorrow’, this article highlights the school’s distinctive features and the various study pathways on offer to future engineers.

An engineering education open to the world and industry

Through an interview with Patxi Elissalde, Director General of ESTIA, the magazine explores the school’s core principles: a multidisciplinary approach to teaching, an international outlook and close links with industry. The aim is to train versatile engineers capable of adapting to technological developments and the challenges of the future.

Several routes to joining ESTIA

The article outlines the various options available to students wishing to join the school:

  • The integrated foundation year, with two streams – general and international – to prepare students for the three-year engineering programme following two years of foundation study.
  • The Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Mechatronics Engineering, a three-year programme following the baccalaureate, accredited by the Commission des titres d’ingénieur (CTI).
  • Admission following a two-year post-A-level qualification or the third year of a Bachelor’s degree, to join the engineering programme via the parallel admissions route.

The magazine also highlights ESTIA’s international outlook, particularly through its dual-track programmes, which allow students to undertake part of their studies in France and abroad.

A school rooted in its local community and connected to innovation

ESTIA’s membership of the ISAE Group, its network of international academic partners and its technology platforms illustrate its commitment to innovation and to providing training tailored to the needs of businesses.

Through this feature, Studyrama Grandes Écoles offers an overview of ESTIA’s strengths and the opportunities available to students wishing to build a career in engineering.
